Linda K. Holland, 73, of East Bangor, PA passed away Thursday, June 25th, at her residence.


Linda was born in Pen Argyl, PA on July 4, 1946, a daughter of the late Woodrow Bussenger, Sr. and Grace (Sylvester) Bussenger.


She was the wife of Franklin G. Holland. They celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary last November. She was a 1964 graduate of Bangor High School. Linda was employed as a guidance secretary for the Bangor Area School District in Upper Mt. Bethel Twp., PA, until retiring in 1997. She was active with the Bangor football and basketball booster clubs and enjoyed spending time with her family and following her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. Following them in their extra-curricular and athletic endeavors brought her endless joy, and they were the light of her life.


In addition to her loving husband Franklin, Linda is survived by two sons Bron Holland, husband of Kerry and Brock Holland, husband of Amy, three sisters, Carol Jones, Shelly Lake, and Ruth Mory, and 7 grandchildren; Colton, Ben, Kaylee, Brynn, Logan, McKenzie, and Delaney. She was preceded in death by a brother Woodrow Bussenger, Jr.


Following Linda's wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at www.gaffneyparsons.com.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holland family in c/o the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, Bangor, PA 18013. Any donations will be used towards an annual scholarship that will be awarded to a senior Bangor girls basketball player.
