Mrs. Isley was probably my favorite teacher in Upper School. An excellent, kind teacher with a great sense of humor, there's a reason she was voted 'favorite teacher' by students so often. Physics, astronomy, study hall, teacher's aid... I think I spent half of my senior year in her classroom. When I think back to all the teachers I had over the years, she's one who always comes to mind. I sure hated reading of her passing.

I probably knew Mrs. Isley better than any other teacher in my Upper School years at Ravenscroft; I had her for a semester of Physical Science, a year of Physics, and also worked closely with her as treasurer of the Student Govt Association for two years, where she was our advisor. May times she & I were the ones to set up the concession stand (sometimes at the crack of dawn) to sell concessions at a swim meet or other game! Throughout her career at Ravenscroft and later, the Wake County Public School System, Linda was a generous and caring colleague who always went the distance for any student or family with whom I interacted with her. We are proud to have been the alma mater where she received two of her degrees.
