It was January, 1959, and we had recently moved to Ann Arbor. Linda was one of the first people to warmly welcome me to AA High. We carpooled together and shared many classes for the rest of the the senior year. She and others from the Michigan Union crew helped me to get my first job in the cafeteria of the Union. Linda was my older sister. As children, she would cut and break her dolls just so she could patch and heal them. An avid reader, she read and re-read every volume of the Sue Barton Student Nurse series. When we were young teens, our family was on vacation in Maine. Linda was a very important person in my life and my kids Nick and Melissa . She would come one evening a week and hang out with them and I would attend a workshop. She was there when I needed to resolve some family issues. Her patients loved her . She was very active in caring for ADIS Patients in Washtenaw County. Linda was a true friend of over 30 years. We had fun we attended 21annual Sauder Village quilt shows. We shopped consignment stores, thrift stores quilt shops, fabric shops(not the same as quilt shops) and occasionally were able to go to the Shipawana auction. She loved returning to Amish country after having lived in Indiana for some years. She was there to support you for in life´s sadder times too.
