Linda Kessler, 76, of Bangor, PA passed away Saturday, September 28th, at St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus, Easton, PA.


Linda was born in North Bangor, PA on February 18, 1948, a daughter of the late Charles Albanese, Sr. and Beatrice (Steinmetz) Albanese.


She was the wife of Richard A. Kessler. They would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this coming November. Linda was employed as a cafeteria worker for the Bangor Area School District, Upper Mt. Bethel Twp., PA, until retiring in 2010.


Linda was a member of the UNITE the Garment Workers union, a past volunteer for the Slate Belt Little League and Blue Valley Babe Ruth, was involved with Bangor High School Softball, and was a past Treasury of the Bangor Football Parents Club. She enjoyed sewing, was an expert quilter, and enjoyed baking and reading.


Linda was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Bangor, PA.


In addition to her husband Richard, Linda is survived by two sons Richard M. Kessler, husband of Valerie, and Christopher Kessler, husband of Amber, a sister, Susan Batchelor and her companion Brian Phelps, two brothers, Ray Albanese and his companion Phyllis Talese, and Charles "Sam" Albanese, Jr., husband of Denise, 5 grandchildren Richard O. Kessler, Rashelle Powell, Ashley Kessler, Nicolette Kessler, and Alexis Kessler, and 2 great-grandchildren Ryker and Hazel Kessler.


A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 11th at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2445 Lake Minsi Drive, Bangor, PA. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering from 10:30 to 11 AM on Friday, October 11th at the church. Burial will be held at North Bangor Cemetery, Upper Mt. Bethel Twp., PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2445 Lake Minsi Drive, Bangor, PA 18013.

Rich, Sons and families; Standing behind their men who are coaches is a women who is extremely supportive. Your wife/mother was the epitome of that women. We are glad we had the privilege to know Linda mostly through Babe Ruth Baseball but also through Slater Football. Please accept our condolences at this difficult time and take comfort in knowing Linda is now experiencing what we can only read about.

I am so sorry to hear of Linda´s passing. She was a very sweet lady. I will miss our visits/ talks while doing her hair. Praying for her entire family
