MACKSOOD, Linda Vincent - Of Linden, age 66, passed away at home on Thursday, September 9, 2010, surrounded by family and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church 4133 Calkins Road, Flint, Father Hanna Tayar and Monsignor Ronald Beshara officiating. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Family will receive family and friends at 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 1-7 p.m. Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Linda was born in Flint, Michigan on April 15, 1944, the only child of Margaret and Den Vincent. On August 13, 1966 she married Thomas Macksood. She graduated from Southwestern High School and Michigan State University and went on to become a teacher. Linda was a fabulous wife and mother, and had a great love for life. She enjoyed time with friends, summers at the lake, snowmobiling and spending time at the cabin in Indian River. Linda was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church for over 30 years. She also enjoyed cooking and making her famous pies, but her greatest joys in life were her husband, children and grandchildren. Linda was lovingly cared for during her illness by her husband. She is survived by husband, Tom; children, Tom and Amy Macksood, Allison and Robert Farnham, Linsey and Ron Hessling; eight grandchildren, Connor, Reed, Mallory, Bryn, Maggie, Dustin, Blaze and Gia; brothers and sisters, Susan and Rick Hathaway,Andy Brown, Joe and Mary Conroy, Leo and Diane Macksood, Dick and Betty Ramsdell,Janice and Louise Macksood; many nieces, nephews; special friends and sorority sisters. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Linda's name to Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, Flint, MI. Your condolences may be shared with the family at
