McAFEE, Linda Kay, of Fredericksburg, 50, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012. She is survived by her husband, Roy Eugene McAfee; her parents, H. Glenn Wagner and Margurite Bowen Wagner; children, April McAfee Herlitz (Scott), Jane McAfee, Duncan McAfee and Elizabeth McAfee; brothers, Michael Wagner (Candice), Stephen Wagner (Pam), Gregory Wagner (Cherie), Kevin Wagner, Keith Wagner; sisters, Lori Wagner (Bill), Lisa Wagner Foster (Stuart), Lynn Wagner Smith (Brad) and Linette Wagner Kasper (Greg); grandchildren, Gavin and Isabel Herlitz; mother-in-law, Lucy Dunn McAfee; sisters-in-law, Jennie Wildermooth (David) and Pennie McAfee; and 14 nieces and nephews. She was a beloved wife and daughter and a wonderful mother. She will be greatly missed. A 1980 graduate of James Monroe High School, continuing her education at Computer Learning Center, she became a Senior Program Analyst with the Federal Reserve where she was known as a hard worker and a valued employee. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Inn at the Old Silk Mill on Princess Anne Street, Saturday, July 7, from 5 to 9 p.m. Contributions, if so desired, may be made in her name to "Be the Match," marrow.org, or "The Ladies' Memorial Association's Fredericksburg Confederate Cemetery," cemetery.communitypoint.org. Roy and Family-
I know losing Linda has been a blow to all of you, and we have lost a special friend. But in the grief, I can't help but think of Linda's smile, her laugh, and her incredible upbeat outlook on life. That is how I will always remember her. That's a gift she gave to everyone, and we were all lucky to have her. Our thoughts and love are with you in your healing.

To the McAfee Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Linda's smile and courage will always be an inspiration to us all. Please take comfort in the joy she spread and all the wonderful memories you made.

I am so sorry to learn of Linda's passing. I knew her for many year's at the Fed, and always enjoyed the times that we worked together. My sincere condolences to her family.

Dear Roy,
Sorry to hear of Linda's passing. I worked at the FRB until March 1995. I did not know she worked at the Bank while I was there. Linda was my 2nd cousin once removed. You and your family are in our prayers.
