To this day I think about Linda. A great person and colleague to work with. On my desk (and probably till I retire) is the microscope that she gave me one day with the comment "...Dr Alter, I found this in the garage and realized you were the only pathologist without a microscope and thought you would like it...."

Linda was such a great person to work with. I knew that on any given day, especially if it was stressful, I could count on her to say something to lighten the day!
And we had such great conversations in the break room at BMMC. Once, she walked into the lab with leaf picker-uppers cause she knew I lived in an 'oak forest'.

Linda was a treasure to work with at Blodgett; she was a guiding source of knowledge to this (back then very new) blood bank physician. She Once gave me a microscope for my desk because as she said .. Dr Alter you are the only physician in the department without one, and I believe you need one as well.. that Microscope follows me to this day. May Her Memory Be A Blessing
