BECKER RITTER ELMBROOK FUNERAL HOME Obituary

Age 56, passed away on August 29, 2016 after a yearlong battle with brain cancer. She is preceded in death by her father Henry C. “Hank” Raymonds. Linda was a loving spouse to Tracy Stolte and proud mother of Nate.  Linda will be missed by her mother Mary Virginia “Jinny” Raymonds, brothers, Steve (Beth Harwood) and Dan (Claudette), sisters, Marianne and Carol (Steve Smith), nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Linda was happiest surrounded by family and friends at her homes in New Berlin and Keshena. She hosted the family’s annual Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings and filled her lake house to capacity on get away weekends.

Linda was an accomplished athlete, terrific golfer, incredible aunt and awesome friend. Her successful careers included being the first female vice president for Robert W. Baird, then founding her own company, Piranha Promotions.

Linda was a proud alum of Pius XI Catholic High School, a graduate of Marquette University and a true “Warrior”.  She was a season ticket holder for Marquette women’s basketball, men’s basketball, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers.  Her fund raising and philanthropy has benefitted her alma maters, brain cancer research and countless other causes.

Linda faced her diagnosis with courage and grace, her faith filled her with hope and determination and her slogan “I’ve Got This!” had her taking on risks and challenges without fear. She was an inspiration to all who journeyed with her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Gesu Church, 1145 West Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, WI from 9:30 to 11:15 AM, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM.  Immediately following the Mass, there will be a reception to celebrate Linda’s life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Linda M. Raymonds Charitable Foundation Fund at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, 101 West Pleasant Street, Suite 210, Milwaukee, WI 53122 which will in turn distribute all donations to Linda’s favorite charitable causes.

Not sure what to say?

Tracy and the Raymonds Family,

I'm deeply saddened by your loss. She was a kind friend to our family for nearly 50 years and an absolute pillar of the community. I'm sorry I couldn't be there in person.

Tom Cary

As a friend of Marianne's at Pius and Marquette, I only met Linda in passing. Please know that your entire family has my sympathy and prayers at this difficult time.

We never met in person but we worked together countless times over the years and became friends. She was my "go to" because I loved working with her due to her kind and generous spirit.

Tracy, Nate, Ginny and Family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you with the passing of Linda. We all were blessed with her love, care, concern and generosity she gave to many. Her courageous battle with cancer was a moving sign of her deep faith. It is that faith summons us to believe that Linda's "life is simply changed not ended." It is with that faith that can give us solace at this time. I hold you all in prayer.

In the Risen Christ,
Fr. Marv Knighton

You have so much to remember and to treasure always...as Nate shared! May all of those memories comfort your heart.

My condolences for your loss. May the words at Isaiah 35:5,6 give you comfort and hope.

To the entire Raymonds family, Tracy & Nate,

Our deepest sympathies. I only met Linda a few times, but her generosity to our sons memorial golf outing every year was always appreciated.

Jerry, of course knew Linda through the wonderful Marquette years.

Our hearts & prayers go out your entire family.

Sincerely,
Jerry & Patti Homan

Linda exemplified grace and strength. A true pleasure to work with...so honored to have known her.
