Linda B. Sensabaugh STAUNTON
Linda Ann (Bosserman) Sensabaugh, 61, wife of David Weldon Sensabaugh Jr., of West Hill Road, Staunton, died Friday, October 31, 2008, in the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottes- ville.
She was born January 16, 1947, in Staunton, a daughter of Maxine (Miller) Bosserman of Staunton and the late Cliftmont A. Bosserman.
Mrs. Sensabaugh was very active in the church, both at Mint Spring United Methodist and Redeemer Lutheran. She especially enjoyed church dinners and get-togethers, where she could share her love of cooking with others. She devoted countless hours to helping the elderly and those in need throughout our community.
In addition to her husband of 40 years and her mother, family includes a son, Marvin A. Sensabaugh and his wife, Mary Beth, of Charlotte, North Carolina; a daughter, Renee S. Ross and her husband, Lee, of Staunton; a sister, Beverly B. McCracken and her husband, John, of Greensboro, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Sensabaugh, and Evan and Noah Ross; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2008, in the Mint Spring United Methodist Church by the Reverend Steven Propst and the Reverend JoAnn Bunn. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Kenneth LaPorte, Glenn Sensabaugh, Gary Bunn, Harry Johnson, McCheyne (Mac) Swortzel, Philip Spalding, Daniel Barr, and Kevin Jarvis.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Women of Mint Spring United Methodist Church and Sewing Bee, Dr. H. Lynn Moore, M. E. Shuey, Frank Peele, David Kaschel, Glenn Shickel, Frank Back, Roger Stover, John Barr, and Doug Bosserman.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2008, in the Henry Funeral Home.
At Linda's request, there will be no public viewing.
Memorials may be made to the Mint Spring United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
