Linda Mackey Smith

I met Linda in the summer of 1971, freshman orientation at the University of Alabama. She ran onto the elevator, laughing, showing off a purple hot pants outfit on a hanger that she planned to wear to a formal. We all admired it, and her. I just found out about Mackey's passing. I would defnitely have attended her memorial service on Sunday if I had known. Mackey called on me at Blue Cross while working for First Pro. We were fast friends. I enjoyed many lunch outings with her. She was a bubbly, vivacious person with a very magnetic personality.
