TWOHIG FUNERAL HOME Obituary

Linda E. Twohig, 72, of Fond du Lac passed peacefully on Tuesday August 15, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital with her beloved family gathered with her.  She was born on June 1, 1945 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Darold and Lucille (Huck) Struck.   On August 14, 1965, Linda married John “Jack” Twohig at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac.  Linda worked for the Fond du Lac Health Department and then she and Jack started and successfully ran Jack Twohig’s Carpet One.  Linda and Jack have been active in many organizations in the Fond du Lac area. Linda had a great love for children and especially enjoyed teaching them how to swim and water ski.      

Those left behind to cherish Linda’s memory include her husband Jack, brother Gary Struck, sister Suzanne (Dennis) Schumacher, mother-in-law June Twohig, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Mike Twohig, Dr. Tim and Merrie Twohig, Mary Sue Twohig, Brian and Judy Twohig and Kevin and TJ Twohig, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Linda was preceded in death by parents Darold and Lucille and her in-laws John and Florence Twohig.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday August 18, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 271 Fourth Street Way Fond du Lac.  Rev. Anthony Scannell and Rev. Ed Sippel will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at 10:00 AM on Saturday.


Visitation will be Friday, August 18th from 9:30 AM until time of mass at Holy Family Catholic Church.  Memorials may be directed to the Agnesian Foundation or the Fond du Lac Area Foundation.

Our thought and prayers are with you and your family . Pete has very fond memories with you growing up. I knew Linda from junior high we were in same home room together and we also had fun the night we went out. We will say a prayer for you tonight , you will be in our thoughts threw the many days to come.
