Ms. Vargas was my Principal at Valencia Elementary School in Pico Rivera. It was the 70's and I was a young impressionable Latina girl, and I had a beautiful female Latina Principal as a role model. I cannot tell you how much her memory has meant to me as I have navigated through a career in education as a teacher, a high school administrator and now a faculty member at CSUF.
