Linda Darnell (Collier) Washington was born January 6, 1950, to Pauline and Isaac Collier in Stuttgart Arkansas. She graduated from Roosevelt Senior High School in Gary, Indiana, Class of 1968.


She married Harold Washington on November 10, 1973, in Gary, IN.


She worked at Unilever in Hammond, IN as an Accountant for 35 years, retiring in 2009.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Collier; father, Isaac Collier; two sons, Harold Washington Jr.  and Kevin Watson; husband, Harold Washington, Sr.


Linda leaves to cherish her loving memory two sisters, Lauretta Porter of Atlanta, GA and Patricia Carter of Merrillville, IN; one brother, John White of Merrillville, IN; sons, Darrick Earl Washington (Terri Washington) of Gary IN, Sherrod Darnell Washington (Satina Washington) of Merrillville, IN, Harold Issac Washington of Atlanta, GA; ten grandchildren, Darrick , Daija, Davion, Trevelle, Sherrod Jr. “RJ”, Sky, Rashaud, Star, RaShaun, and Summer; one great granddaughter, Khloe; special niece, Lori Beard of Valparaiso, IN; special niece and caregiver, Briana Carter of Merrillville, IN and a host of loving nieces and nephews who all loved Linda and will miss her dearly.
