Linda Sharpe Youngblood CONCORD - Linda Sharpe Youngblood, 73, of Concord, North Carolina, passed away on April 4, 2015. She was born in Greer, South Carolina on June 11, 1941. Linda graduated from Hickory High School in Hickory, North Carolina in 1959, and then attended Lenoir Rhyne College. She was married to Sam Youngblood on March 20, 1962. She was preceded in death by her parents J.O. and Naomi Sharpe; her siblings Sybil and Robert; and her husband of 50 years, Sam. Survivors include her three children, Joe, Rob, and Karen Cox; and her six grandchildren, Joey, Taylor, Olivia, Holly, Kate, and Sam. An informal service, followed by a celebration of her life, will be held beginning at 2pm on April 18, 2015 at 9911 Verde View Court, Concord, North Carolina 28027. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to www.tobaccofreekids.org. Condolences may be offered at www.mcewenminthillchapel.com.

Linda was a very dear friend when we were in grade school and high school. We lived in the same neighborhood and attended the same church. I have many memories of our adventures and will treasure them. I know she is with our Lord. May all the members of her family left to remember her and her love for them be blessed and comforted by our God.
