Not sure what to say?

Dear Jane and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Lindsay was a valued native son of Albemarle County who served family, county and country well. He consistently greeted all with a smile, and his moral compass remains indisputable. After conversing with Lindsay, I always walked away feeling a bit brighter. May his memory be a blessing and comfort to you all.

Jane, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Lindsay at Paxson Smith when i was a law student in the early 70s and then, more recently, saw him occasionally when he was my mother's next door neighbor at the Blake. He was far more than his impressive resume suggests and I am sad for all of us. Elizabeth Woodruff, 2/12/23

Sheri..so sorry. Sending prayers and hugs

I was shocked to run across this obit as I was scanning e-mails. I had not seen Lindsay in a long time, but we went way back, and I considered him to be a good friend. I helped Lindsay when he ran against Ken Robinson's last term as 7th District Rep in 1980. We had a hilarious time at the Gordonsville Firemen's Fair. It was an honor to meet Lindsay and Jane and we are very grateful to their kindness and hospitality throughout the years beginning with Margaret and Daniel´s engagement and marriage. Lindsay was always friendly, kind, and welcoming. Ralph always enjoyed conversations with him and found they had much more in common than not... considering they were on opposite sides of the political spectrum. Jane was and still is very gracious, thoughtful and kind. We certainly have missed seeing Lindsay...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I very fondly remember Mr. Dorrier as one of the most upright, honest and caring people in Albemarle County. I had the pleasure to teach his kids and get to know him personally. He was definitely a positive role model to our community.

I was in Lindsay's class at law school, not a close friend, but I remember him very fondly - he was a good man -

So sorry for your loss, Jane.
