Not sure what to say?

Laura, it saddens us to hear of Sai's transition. We were her friends at Unity Church of Ann Arbor. We really missed her when she moved to Georgia with you. However, we did visit her when we visited Atlanta. She was a wise woman and we enjoyed her sharing her travels with us and always encouraging young women to achieve ones potential. May Godspeed, as she enters eternal life. We are confident she will be as ambitious in her new life as she was when she was physically on this planet. ...

Laura, I didn't know your Mom but you and I were friends at Huron HS. I just want to offer my heartfelt condolences. I am so very sorry for your loss. Your Mom sounds like she was a beautiful person who lived an amazing life.

Laura, I'm so sorry about your Mom. I lost mine in January and miss her so much. I remember when 4 of us shared an apartment going to MSU and we all worked at Domino's. We were lucky to have your Mom come and cook for us for your birthday. She was so gracious and made sure we all had plenty of food. I had never seen a rice cooker before and thought that was a great invention. Her chicken wings inspired a lifelong love of Asian cooking.

Laura, the Phatharaphak family sends our love to you. Sai knew my grandmother, Choy Gedney. She knew my parents before they were married, Chat and Darelene Phatharaphak. For many years we lived around the corner from her in the Forestbrooke neighborhood. We enjoyed many holidays with her and have many memories of food and her kind heart. My favorite was what we called her 1000 year old eggs. Loved them! She always came bearing gifts. I attended Unity Church with her. She became a...

Laura, I am sorry to hear the news of your mother. She was a kind and caring woman. I met Sai at the UM School of Education when I was a graduate student, and we kept in touch after she retired. She was so devoted to you and spoke of you with love. Sai enjoyed people and was a loyal employee and friend. May happy memories offer some comfort.

Laura, I'm sure our mom's are together catching up on the past few years. Pearl (Parker Wander, my mom) treasured their friendship long after they no longer lived next door to each other.
Hugs,
Martha Parker Brown
