Not sure what to say?

Part of any great work of historic art there is always a wealth of research that must be gained in order to create it. My thank's to Lion Miles for helping me with Stockbridge history and regalia and helping me to create the Sachem Daniel Nimham in Fishkill, NY. I continue to do research. Your generosity will never be forgotten.

I am a fan of Lion G. Miles's historic research and writing! Thank you Mr. Miles for truth-telling, based on careful, experienced research and not prettying-up perfidies committed. I have used his insightful article "Red Man Dispossed" in writing my historic novel and now on an Independent Study on Colonel Ephraim Williams, Jr. Enjoyed his other articles as well and have shared them with others interested. Family and friends should be so proud of the work that he did and the...

Sad to hear of Lion's passing. I met him 20 years ago seeking historical information about Sachem Daniel Nimham that I have been creating a statue of. I had not heard from him in sometime so I can understand why. He was of a great help in rounding out the regalia and history of the Stockbridge people during the 1700's. Please let me know when you might have a memorial. My webpage is www.keropiansculpture.com/daniel_nimham.html. I'm sorry that he likely never knew that the statue will finally...

So sad to hear of Lion’s passing, I’d like to add that Lion is the reason there’s a historical image of a Stockbridge Indian on the One Berkshare Bill. Thanks to Lion I had the honor of meeting some actual locals. And he gave me a whole new view of Sheas Rebellion. A true good historic part of the Berkshires and a wry illuminating unique friendly great person. In my thoughts now

A thank you to Lion Miles for sharing his knowledge of historical significance. Any questions i had about our Stockbridge-Munsee -band of Mohicans he was the man to call. Identifying local arrowheads Lion was the person.
Always pleasant and kind. May he Rest in Peace and follow many trails.

My condolences to Lon's children and sister. Lion was a delightful acquaintance for over four decades; a brother in local history and the Stockbridge story. I always had an ear for what he thought and what he had to say. He will be missed.

To Carmen and Lion's daughters and families, we are sorry for your loss. He lived a full life. May he rest in peace. Jeff and Lauri
