Not sure what to say?

Another year without your presence makes me sad, but the memories brings me joy. DADDY I love and miss you so much. You are forever in my thoughts, your greatest Birthday gift Karen.

I miss you Daddy, continue to watch over us. Love your Best Birthday gift ever. Karen

One day at Washington Square in the Marigny.

Uncle Lionel was a character that represented New Orleans and it traditions. He was a style setter and raconteur if one was lucky enough to catch him in the mood for conversation. It feels good to have known him.

I love and miss you

Keepin a light burning in my window, in remembrance of you, I miss you daddy.

We have many fond memories of "Unc", performing with him in Ascona, and jamming in New Orleans and drinking some "transmission fluid" together ! He will be missed all over the world, but he'll never be out of our hearts !!

We wish the family strength to cope with your loss, and remember him as the great person he was...

My favorite memory was watching Uncle Lionel approaching a young couple dancing, gently placing his hand on the young man's arm, and taking the man's bottle of beer to hold while they danced. I asked him about that. Uncle Lionel believed that men should not dance with women with a beer in their hand. Always a gentleman.

Daddy,
As I sit here thinking about you tears start to fall from my eyes not because you are gone because I have came to understand that your time here has came to an end you cant tell me that you didn't live you life to the FULLEST there was nothing and I mean Nothing that you didn't do r places you didn't go. You have touched so many people hearts and they will miss you but nobody will ever Miss you like me your Baby Girl. I can remember you always being there for me getting me...

It wasn't one day we didn't see him come out of 609 not clean from head to toe with his drum. We will always love and miss Mr. Lionel! Erica and Malika stay strong i love y'all
