Chambers Funeral Homes - Cleveland Obituary

LISA ANN MARCONI (nee Ligotky), 64, passed away peacefully at home in Cleveland, Ohio on June 19, 2024, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on November 20, 1959, in Elyria, Ohio.

Predeceased by her parents, Wolfgang and Margaret (nee Wise) Ligotke, and brother Wolf "Fritz" Ligotke, Lisa's memory is honored by her adoring husband of 39 years, Bob Marconi; children Lou Marconi (Cassandra), Joe Marconi (Amanda Parks), and Liz Marconi (Elio Calabrese); granddaughters Charlotte Marconi and Nora Calabrese; sister Heidi Korkosz (Art); siblings-in-law Pat (Tom Snow), Peg Stone, Mike Marconi {Terri), Jim Marconi (Mary Ann), Terry Bracken (Dan, deceased), Tom Marconi, Joyce Gusman, Bill Marconi (Cindy), and John Marconi (Jackie); many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends whose lives she touched.

Lisa's spirited and loving soul brightened the lives of those around her through her brilliant mind, hilarious storytelling, and exceptional thoughtfulness. Her intelligence, humor, and striking beauty will live on in her children and granddaughters. Lisa and Bob loved traveling the world together, including most of Europe, Scandinavia, and the United Arab Emirates (twice). For the last 18 years, Lisa worked in accounts receivable at Hinckley Lighting in Avon Lake, Ohio. She was instrumental in starting and maintaining Hinckley's company vegetable garden, and family and friends enjoyed the garden's bounty each summer. Lisa had a penchant for praying mantises, stemming from her childhood when she joyfully played in the fields near their home with her sister and brother. Collecting praying mantis cocoons for their mother's organic garden was always a cherished memory shared by the siblings. An avid reader of true crime, Lisa was also an eloquent writer whose work often appeared in local newspaper editorials.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 29, 2024 from 2 - 5 p.m. at P.J. McIntyre's Irish Pub, 17119 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA), PO Box 32141, New York, NY 10087-2141. https://ocrahope.org/
