She is always in my thoughts.

I am just heartbroken. Lisa and I have been out of touch since we both left Austin but I just learned that she had died. A more joyful person I have never known and a sadder person as well. I wish things had worked out better for you, my friend.

Lisa was one of the most creative, funny and talented people I have ever known. The world is diminished by her loss.

Lisa Bland was one of the most brilliant, creative and joyful minds I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

You will be forever in my heart and soul my friend! One of the kindest, sweetest people I have ever known in my life!

Lisa was gorgeous and so filled with enthusiasm and fun! I knew her when she was in Austin working (working hard!) toward her PhD. She had wide interests and charmed everyone with her bubbly sense of fun. Condolences to her family and friends.

It's hard to believe that Lisa is so suddenly gone. I loved her creativity and bravado, and of course her laugh. May her memory be for a blessing, and may all who mourn her be comforted.

In spite of the pain she held inside, for the people around Elizabeth she was a bright, beautiful light, with a capacity for love that seemed inexhaustible. And she was greatly loved in return. Elizabeth is, and will continue to be, greatly missed. I am grateful to have been in her orbit.
