My deep condolences to all of Lisa's family. As a fellow art educator, I would often bump into Lisa here and there, at the river, in a local cafe, or on the sidewalk, and we would have great conversations about lots of things, but usually centered around art, travel, and parenting. I will miss her. The world has lost a beautiful spark.

Your hand drums resound on the first light of morning. All that electric pink and tangerine and turquoise- your violet magenta finger painting amongst dark grease wood and burned umber. I hear you speaking behind me as I study your easel that work in progress. I recall the song basking in our ears was brave by the innocence mission.
