Lisa was our beloved Jazz Mom (and a Mom to many it seems) that we met on The Jazz Cruise over a decade ago. We spent countless hours on the cruise and as her guest at the West Texas Jazz Parties discussing the music and musicians. From the very beginning we didn't always agree and that was the fun. Her knowledge of genre was broad but her interests were far reaching. She hosted us at her home for the jazz parties and was proud of her Texan heritage and San Angelo as she showed us around...

Lisa was my longtime "Adopted Mama," whom I introduced myself to after hearing her refer to the Diet Table at Camp Waldemar during a meeting. I didn't find out that she didn't like Waldemar (a sacrilege in my book) for a couple of years, and by then she was a pillar of my sanity and a never-ending source of love, wisdom and humor.
