LISA GUMBLETON

GUMBLETON (HOFFMAN), LISA Age 54, Bloomfield Hills, MI, gained her angel wings and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends July 24, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Hoffman. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Rick Gumbleton, mother, Marilyn (Micki) Hoffman, stepdaughter Taylor Gumbleton, stepson Kyle Gumbleton, brother Randy, and wife Jennifer and their children Emma, Calo and Colin Hoffman, brother, Robert Hoffman, and wife Janis, and her loving close friends and caregivers. After graduating from Grand Blanc High School she received her BA from Nazareth College and her Masters from Madonna. Lisa was a passionate elementary school teacher in the Grand Blanc School District. She taught Kindergarten at Myers Elementary at the time of her leukemia diagnosis. Lisa's devotion to make a difference in every child's life through her gift to teach is a legacy that those who knew her fully understand. Lisa will always be remembered for her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. Lisa was a true warrior. She fought hard, determined to beat leukemia, GVHD and JC virus. Lisa's life is a testament of inner strength, faith and hope. With God's love in her heart, she inspired us and will live on in our hearts and minds forever. A memorial visitation and service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint at 11 am - 3 pm (Service at 2 pm) followed by a Celebration of Life at the Elk's Lodge, 7177 E. Maple Ave., Grand Blanc at 4:00 pm - 8 pm.
