Not sure what to say?

Sorry this is late, nine years after the passing of Dr. Bishop.
I was a student at Clemson University in a mechanical engineering class taught by Dr. Bishop, about 1980. He made a tremendously positive impression on me as a student, and as a young man. He was thoughtful, disciplined, kind, and wise. I think about him often. He was a shining light for me. I only wish I could have told him so before he passed on.

How fortunate and blessed I was to have Dr. Bishop serve as my advisor during my Clemson career. He was supportive and caring while pushing me to excel at the same time. He tried many times to get me to stay on as a graduate student working for him, yet respected my decision to join the workforce. I know that he continued to follow my career for many years after graduation as he always seemed to know where I was working whenever our paths crossed. A truly great man. His family is in my...
