NORTH RICHLAND HILLS — Memorial service for Lisa Karen Wood Shutt, 46, of North Richland Hills, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Lisa passed away August 5, 2013, of a brain aneurysm while traveling in Washington D.C.
Lisa was born July 2, 1967, in Aurora, Colorado, and moved to Longview with her parents when she was 8 years old. She graduated from Spring Hill High School in 1986 and attended Kilgore College. She worked for five years at Dillard's through high school and college. She married Andrew in 1991 in Longview and moved to Fort Worth in 2008. She was a wonderful mother and her boys were her life. Lisa was a devoted animal lover her whole life and the family's boxer, Woody, was extremely important to her.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew C. Shutt, and her two sons, Joseph Christopher Shutt and Jacob Alan Shutt, 12 and 8 years old respectively, all of Fort Worth. She is also survived by her stepson, Matthew L. Shutt, his wife, Marie and grandson, Isaac, of Wheaton, Maryland. She is also survived by her parents, Dale and Sandy Wood of Longview; her brothers, William D., wife, Ann and nephew, Jack, Dennis L., wife, Linda, all of The Woodlands, Texas, and her two nephews, Hayden and Bryce, who reside in College Station; Bob and Joyce Shutt of Hideaway Lake, Texas; Robert and Tina Shutt of Hallsville, Texas; and niece and nephew, Tiffany and Brandon of Hallsville, Texas. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins in Colorado.
