AMBROSE, Lloyd B. "Pretty" Sr., 78, passed away peacefully, August 30, 2012, at his home on the Rappahannock River. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and Dixie Ambrose Sr. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sadie Ambrose; daughter, Anna; son Lloyd Jr. and his wife, Karen; daughter, Angel; son-in-law, Floyd Walls; three grandchildren, Joshua Ambrose, Amy and Stacy Walls; brother, Dixie Ambrose Jr.; sister, Jerry Selden; and many relatives and friends. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tappahannock Volunteer Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 583, Tappahannock, Va. 22560-0583.

I just read about Uncle Pretty Passing. It has been years but he will be in my prayers.

Iam still at a loss with words... Of course my sympathy goes out to Sadie, Anna, Lloyd and Angel.... and I'll remember the good times we all had with uncle Pretty...He was definitely "One of a Kind"...Hugs to all!

Take great pride in knowing that you had such a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He touched many lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Cherish the memories you have of him.

I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT PRETTY. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYS ARE WITH THE FAMILY. I HAVE GREAT MEMORIES OF PRETTY AND SADIE WHAT A GREAT LIFE HE LIVED. HE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL.

Sadie, Anna, Lloyd, Angel and family....Cookia told Chris and me the news Friday evening. So sorry to hear about his passing and hope all of you will continue to stay strong. He was such a fun-loving guy, and I know you will miss him so much.
