I still remember visiting Sonny w/ my parents, when he had just returned from
Korea flying Skyraiders, & him showing me some flight gear; & sitting on his front porch in Thomasville watching SR
trains going by. I always thanked him
for those memories @ the Smith Reunions. I'll miss him - hope to see
his family again soon.

I always loved seeing Sonny and Ida at the Smith family reunions on the farm in Rockingham. A great man and a couple Sally and I have always looked up to.
