Lloyd H. Dingman of Mesa, Arizona passed away peacefully on September 9, 2008. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to his three children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was born on September 25, 1936 in Jackson, Minnesota to Lillian and Curtis Dingman. He worked with his father in the trucking business in his early years, served in the United States Army, serving in Germany for two years. He owned his own trucking business eventually but after he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1963 he changed his course and went into sales until he retired and moved to Arizona with his family in 1972. He was patriotic to his country and never missed an opportunity to talk about his love of America. Another great interest and love was that of trucks and antique trucks in particular. He was the founder of the Arizona Chapter of the Antique Truck Historical Society and served as President for eight years and at the national level as a board member for many years during and after that time. He loved to travel and never let his illness stop him from hopping on a plane or getting in the van to travel across the country. Survived by his children, Steven (Laurie) Dingman, Jerald Dingman, and Demaris (Mark) Lucht; grandchildren, Morgan (Kris) Kaider, Meagan, Wesley, Zachary and Ashlee Dingman, Dylan and Dalton Lucht; great grandchildren, Madison Dingman Stanlee Kaider; sister, Kathy Fink; Aunt Lorraine Schlight; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marilyn Wilford. Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, September 16th,10 AM at Carr-Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S. Rural Rd., Tempe, AZ. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 315 S 48th St # 101 Tempe, AZ 85281. Carr-Tenney Mortuary assisted with arrangements. Lloyd was a very special friend to me for more than 30 years. My family met him at a truck show and he invited us to join ATHS. At the time of my husband's death, Lloyd was there with love and support. Our friendship continued through many passages in our lives, births, marriages, picnics, and many truck gatherings. We wrote Christmas cards together and shared Arby's sandwiches. Lloyd never missed calling me on my birthday and at Christmas and Mother's Day. He was a very special friend...

Our sincere sympathy, thoughts and
prayers to all the Dingman family.
