Joan and family--my heart goes out to you! He was a fine man and always kind and sincere with me, I appreciated that. My most powerful memory of him relates to my dog Boomer and his love of animals. That is a wonderful quality in a human being, the one of loving life and animals for who they are and who they can become. God bless all of you as you go forward remembering a giant!

Although I only saw Lloyd occasionally when I was tending the outdoor flower containers at his office, he always greeted me warmly and complimented my work. He had a way of making a person feel significant and their work valuable. He was a very nice man.

Back when "Harrah's was still Harrah's" he joined Joe Fanelli and me for lunch at the Prospector's Club. It was during my first week with the company, and he was very kind in the way he welcomed me. I've never forgotten what he said that day. He was a very classy gentleman.
