Lloyd E. Goodwin, age 89, of Crockett Street in Rochester, died on Sunday, April 30, 2006 at Rochester Manor.

Born December 26, 1916 and raised in Farmington, he was a son of the late John F. and Inez J. (Ham) Goodwin. He resided in Rochester for 27 years, having previously resided in Milton for 37 years.

A United States Army Veteran of World War II, he served as Staff Sergeant with the 1850th Service Command and was a recipient of a Good Conduct Medal.

He worked for many years at Rochester Shoe, prior to retirement, he was employed with the former Moore Business Forms in Dover.

Lloyd was a devoted family man, he enjoyed his family, attending their sports and school functions and also was involved with Cub Scouts in Milton. He enjoyed spending time at his camp, gardening, joy riding, taking trips and working on automobiles.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years: Barbara J. (Tufts) Goodwin of Rochester, 2 daughters: Sandra J. & husband Wayne Salisbury of Middleton and Karen A. & husband David Johnson of Milton, 3 sons: Lloyd E. & wife Judah Goodwin, Jr. of Lakeland, FL, James R. & wife Elaine Goodwin of Rochester and Keith A. Goodwin of Middleton, 11 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren, also several Nieces and Nephews. He was pre-deceased by a sister: Zelma Tibbetts and 2 brothers: John F. Goodwin and Eugene T. Goodwin and daughter in law: Rhonda Goodwin.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street in Farmington, NH. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 1:00pm at the Nute Ridge Bible Chapel in W. Milton with Rev. Richard Arnold, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow, with military honors, at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington.
