Not sure what to say?

That is my great grandpa an i wished i met him

Thanks for being such a great friend to both my Mom and Dad. What a great influence you gave to me and so many people; both Young and "Older". See you soon! Love the "Youngest" Damron Family.

I first met Mr. Hokit in 1971 when I started taking classes in the Agriculture Department at Bakersfield College. While in the Ag. Department, Mr. Hokit helped me get a job as a Student Worker. I worked part time with Mr. Hokit and the others for a few years. When the money ran out one season, Mr. Hokit suggested I go to the Learning Center to apply for a Teaching Assistant job. I went to Dr. Claire Larsen’s office; he was on the phone. Dr. Claire motioned me into the office and hung up....

PAT:

Sorry to hear of Lloyds passing. He will be remembered by many people. He was the best Sunday School teacher I have ever had.

He will be missed but we will be with him soon.

ROD REED

It was my fortune to meet Mr. Hokit in 1961 as my freshman Ag teacher. He was always there for his students, day or night. He could have written the book NO STUDENT LEFT BEHIND. Boy we were lucky to have a teacher like MR. Hokit. Pat Thank You for Shearing. The judging practices, the contests, all the FFA activities, the train rides to the State Fair, the fishing trips to the Sierras. The comradely. Here we are 45 yrs later and I can recall those wonderful memories like they were yesterday....

My son had "Farmer" Hokit in several classes at VOCS. He was always very encouraging and had a kind word to say. My son (8 yrs) said he will always remember "Farmer" Hokit when he sees oak trees, because they planted a lot of oak trees in class. Last week he had found some acorns, and he planted them in our yard, he said he was thinking of "Farmer" Hokit as he did it. Mr. Hokit was a strong, gentle oak tree, and we are very blessed to have known him. We look forward to the day we will...

Well do I remember serving with Lloyd at West High School. He was my brother in the Lord. Because he had trusted Christ as his savior, I know for certain that he has been promoted to a spot in Heaven. Bob Nestor, 309 Crepe Myrtle Way, Greer, SC 29650, [email protected]

We will never be far from the Touch of The Masters Hand. Your spirit, wisdom, and legacy will always be seen at "Hokit Farm." http://www.legacy.com/Link.asp?Id=MT17079879&Cobrand=BAKERSFIELD

Mr. Hokit I first met you at my daughter’s graduation from Valley Oaks Charter School in June 2005. We were all at the Fox Theater in Bakersfield. You gave a rendition of The Master’s Hand and made everyone laugh and then cry at the end. It was performance worthy of nothing less than an Academy Award or maybe even an Oscar. Only at the end of the ceremony did I learn you had just came from chemotherapy treatment minutes before you spoke. Who knew? If I didn’t stop to say thank you and shake...
