Not sure what to say?

Early in our marriage in 1978 Dr. Ogilvie autographed his book, "The Serendipities of God". After looking up and taking a good look at us he remarked: "It is going to be fun." Now, 47 years later and my wife's passing I can say, it was not only fun but a journey full of JOY after a thankful encounter with one of our best.

US Senate Chaplain Lloyd John Ogilvie prayed with me when God brought my wife and me to our Nation´s Capital to serve...she as a registered nurse in The US Treasury health unit and other federal building health units and I as a police chaplain for personnel of numerous Washington, DC police agencies including The US Capitol Police, US Supreme Court Police, US Secret Service, US Park Police, etc. He prayed that God would provide me an office which God answered by giving me an office in The...

I was in high school when I met you, Reverend, at our church in Bethlehem Pennsylvania. Your speech was poignant, your meaning inspirational. God blessed you with an incredible ability and a wonderful supportive family. Over the years my thoughts would turn to those days. It was during your tenure in Bethlehem that I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I have always struggled with the devil but always returned to Christ. In my new home in Maine many years later I found your little...

To his family & friends--- I never met Rev Ogilvie but his book Praying Through the Tough Times has been a lifesaver for me and a gift I give to so many of my friends who are in pain. It's been four years and I pray that you are seeing the ripple affects of a life well lived. So sorry for your loss and I pray that you are all blessed and feel his love all around you and forevermore.

I am from Napa, California and was living in East Los Angeles for a year during 1983 and 1984 to do my internship in Clinical Lab Science. From the first Sunday I was living in East L.A., I attended Hollywood Pres. I learned so much from Lloyd Ogilvie during that year. He was a man of true class and most important - a man of G-d. I have always treasured my time I spent under his teaching and with Hollywood Pres.

I ordered one of his sermons "WHY". After loosing my Mon I was searching for something"anything" and I heard the sermon late one night and I needed to hear it Again and Again and Again. I called him after he Retired and he Answered his telephone. I was so excited to talk to him. He told me he had donated his work . He didn't know exactly where my sermon was but I did find it. I have had great thoughts of our conversation. This was really something for Me to behold, Gracefully.

I was going through a very challenging time in my life and Dr Ogilvie was my refuge on Sundays at the Hollywood Presbyterian Church
