Not sure what to say?

Lloyd was amazing at doggerel. When singing in Llano, TX he opined that I was romancing women with my Llano-Line.

I will never forget when my high school director had Dr. Pfautsch come direct the W.T. White High School A cappella Choir in a piece that he had arranged, "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" His warmth, humor and musicality touched my heart. A brief encounter, but one that I still carry with me. His heart was definitely, "Sealed for courts above".

Dr. Pfautsch will always have a special place in my heart as he performed my marriage ceremony to Dave Phillips 38 years ago. I remember that it was the first wedding at which he officiated. We have several of his anthems in our music library at First United Methodist Church, Springfield, Illinois. And we do sing them regularly. We have several Illinois Wesleyan graduates in choir (and one former youth choir member who is currently attending Illinois Wesleyan). One of our associate directors is...

Lloyd Pfautsch was a musical leader in the Dallas community for many years and leaves a great legacy to SMU. As Director of the Dallas Civic Chorus, he annually directed the Thanksgiving Halftime Show at Dallas Cowboys games. He was a talented man who will be missed by his various communities.

Sincere condolences to the entire Family.
