A Mother's World
A mother laments. For her, Lloyd Rosenberg was not just a son, but a close friend. She remembers doing everything for young Lloyd: Little League, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, summer camp, guitar lessons. When the family moved to Staten Island and Lloyd disliked his new high school, his mother arranged for him to continue going to his old high school in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.

"Lloyd was my life," his mother, Michele Rosenberg, said. "There wasn't one thing that I wouldn't do for him and his sister, Lorene. He was everything in the world to me, even more than my husband. He was a wonderful son. If he did anything wrong, he always apologized."

She was proud of his success as a bond trader at Cantor Fitzgerald, where he began in the mailroom and quickly ascended. His mother, a teacher, and his father, Larry, a Transit Authority electrician, were delighted that he earned far more than they did. With that money, he bought a handsome home in Morganville, N.J., where he and his wife, Glenna, were raising three daughters, Samantha, 5, Kaylee, 3, and Alyssa, 1.

"Both of us were civil service, and that's good, but we felt if you could do better, go for it," his mother said. "You always want better for your children."

"All I can tell you is I love him very much," she added. "I'm looking at his picture right now. Not only did I lose a good friend, I lost my baby."

Not sure what to say?

Noticed your page hadn´t been written on in a while. Wanted to check in and let you know how much you are missed. Rest in love and peace.

As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

In remembrance....

My dearest Glenna and darling ducklings....I think of you often...especially today....Please know that with every sunrise...and every sunset...you are loved...from here in the west...and of course from above.

I carry with me...memories of Luscious, awaiting the first duckling and of course...spaghettios...

Please keep posting those pics of the ducklings....I love watching them grow.

With all my love...
Sherri

It is a week before the third anniversary and I sit here pondering everything that has changed. And everything that has stayed the same. I saw you just a few weeks ago, and relished in the fact that you were smiling more. I saw pictures of the girls and felt hopeful that they are growing up, beautiful and sweet. I thought of all you are missing, but then I thought of all that you still have. And that made me smile too.

People have different ways of expressing their feelings....

Just a Thought

More than two years later
The pain still slices deep
A wife and three young daughters
An endless watch they keep

Struggling to remember
The sound of daddy's voice
But moving toward tomorrow
For that would be his choice

Watching them grow up so strong
To enjoy a happy life
His very precious little girls
And one truly special wife

Yet even in their sorrow...

Stories Untold

The anguished Cry
The unbreathable sigh
Falling untold storeys
Down from the sky

If those walls could talk
It wouldn't have mattered
Even the walls couldn't hold
Under all the stories untold

I dreamed of a message
He recorded to you
A message of love picked up from the ground
The anguished goodbye that out of the ashes was found
But the promised voice...
