Not sure what to say?

Hello Lynn.

A strange thing happened to me this morning.

I hadn't thought of Lloyd for a very long time (well, every time I pass Hull Street Outlet I think of him, but that isn't very often). But I thought of him this morning, and told myself that I should look him up and give him a call to say “hello” after all the years. So, I Googled him and came upon Bruce Miller’s Barksdale Theatre Blog, where I read of Lloyd’s passing.

Not only disappointing, but very...

Dear Lynn. We expressed our sympathy to you and your family, But we must have done something incorrect, as it never appeared in the guest book. Everyone who is a member of these classes are terribly saddened buy the loss of Lloyd. He made our last class reunion a total success. Please know that we think of you often, and would like to stay in contact with you, as you will remain a part of our classmates forever.

Mr. Shockley,
I just found out about Lloyd's passing and I am so very sorry. A lot of memories came flooding back about the years in Salem and how much Lloyd and your family meant to me. I really loved him. He was such a wonderful man. I haven't talked to him in years, but, when we did talk, it was like no time had passed and we were young and enjoying each other's company again. My love and heartfelt sympathy to you.

I am grateful for my opportunities to work and communicate with Lloyd through our professional association. Lloyd reminded me of the power and importance of words carefully prepared and expressed with skill by a great voice talent. He will be missed. My condolences to his family, friends and professional associates

I knew Lloyd from the old Va. Museum Theatre days when we worked together in Comedy of Errors. He was a lovely actor and person and I always enjoyed seeing him thruout the years.I send my sympathy to his family and friends. Helen Levinson

Lloyd and I were at the Virginia Museum Theater together (in the olden days!) and did several plays together. He was great fun to work with, a good actor and strong cast member. You could count on him.
We ran into each other from time to time and it was always great to see him. He has left us too soon.

I met Lloyd as a young college student while summering in Richmond. According to him it seems that I learned reading, writing and the road to Road to Richmond that year. It was that sweltering hot summer long ago when we worked together at the original WLEE (back in its heyday). We lost contact after that summer. However, many years later we reconnected, this time as former colleagues, friends, and now competitors. We both had become principals in our respective advertising agencies. Our...

I was saddened to hear of your loss. My mother (Mary Ann Douthat Sisson, deceased) and father (Reggie Sisson) graduated Andrew Lewis High School with Mr. Shockley and spoke fondly of him throughout the years. My father sends along his respects to the family.

God Bless and keep you in this time of sorrow.

I have known Lloyd and his entire family almost all of my life. His mother and father were goods friends with my mom & dad (Marvin & Mary Perdue in Salem) for many years. They would only allow Lloyd Sr. to work on their car. Lloyd Wayne and I went to AL High. Enjoyed many years with the drama class with Ms Thompson. Loyd always made me laugh and he was so much fun. So full of him self and life. I will miss knowing that I will not get to see him any more at the Class Reunions. But I know for...
