Lloyd L. Thornton, son of the late Robert Thornton and Charlotte
Thornton was born on September 4, 1935 in Annapolis, Maryland.
He departed this life on December 14, 2018 after a brief illness.
He received his education at Bates High School in Annapolis,
Maryland. He then served and was Honorably Discharged from
the U S. Marines in 1953.
Mr. Thornton was a member of the Brothers of St. Cecilia and
also a member of the St. Cecilia Faithful Ushers.
He was a quiet and humble person that loved being around
family.
He loved family holiday dinners (especially the sweet potato
pudding). He especially loved attending the family reunions in
Glen Burnie, MD where he would look forward to seeing his
cousin Shirrell Garrison since
they shared the same birthday. He also loved watching sports.
He is survived by: his sister, Florine Thornton Fuller and his
cousin Shirley Smith. He is also survived a host of nieces and
nephews: Henry Fuller II - nephew, Lorna Branch - niece, Gary
Fuller - nephew, Addie Fuller - niece, Preston Fuller - nephew,
Robert Thornton - nephew, and Reginald Thornton - nephew;
including a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Thornton is preceded in death by the following sisters
and brothers: Mary Thornton - sister Jewette Thornton - brother
Oscar Thornton - brother Anota Thornton - sister Robert Reed
Thornton - brother Mozell Elaine Thornton - sister.
