Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear of Mr Honsinger's passing. He was quite a conductor. I was in the wind smphony in the early 70's, played the clarinet. I remember him saying something like this almost every time we finished rehearsal "don't go away mad.......just get the hell out of here!" Then he would smile! He was quite a guy and a very dedicated musician. I remember many fun trips and concerts with the wind ensemble.

I remember taking trombone lessons from Mr. Honsinger and participating in the Honsinger Wind Ensemble as a high-school student in the mid Eighties. He constantly pushed his students to achieve a higher and higher level of proficiency. He exposed me to a whole new realm of music and instilled in me a deep appreciation and passion of classical music. I could always see in his eyes that music reached his very soul, and that each note was a profound experience. He was also very giving of his...

I only knew Lloyde a short time, as he was the Director of Music for the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church in Saginaw. Having been a professional musician for many years myself, there is no doubt in my mind that Lloyde is one of the finest musicians to pick up a baton. In recent years, I heard first hand what his skill and leadership could do. His reputation as a great teacher is well known throughout the area. He was also was a great persuader; I sure he could sell sand in the desert, but he...

I will miss Mr. Honsinger so much. Not only did he teach me to play French horn, but was also like a father figure. His strong personality and drive to teach young people music has shaped many lives. His legacy will live forever!

Dear Liat, you continue in my prayers as you go through the next days. God bless you with peace. BB

Dear family, I would like you to know Mr. Honsinger was such an inspiration to me when I began music lessons with him..now let me see, it was about 35 years ago, when he was down on Hamilton Street. Because I didn't want to dissapoint him, I always practiced very hard, because if I hadn't he would have known it! Because of his dedication I always held first chair in the flute section all through school. I also want you to know I have thought of him through the years....wondering what had...

Dear Liat, Hayley, and all of your family members....our sincerest condolences in this sad time. Our prayers go out to all of you. We'll remember Lloyde fondly...as inspiring teacher and friend. We're sure he is in God's heavenly orchestra..... as always, Tom,Nancy,Wendy,Dan and Mary
