My deepest condolences to you all. I only had the pleasure of meeting my uncle once at a family reunion in the late 1980's. I thoroughly enjoyed those days and remember being by his side most of the time. He was a wonderful person and will be missed.

I did not know Reid Patterson personally, but have one outstanding memory of him. It was from the 1956 National Swimming Meet at Cuyahoga Falls where I saw Reid talking with Bob Kiphuth, the Yale swim coach. They were talking strategy for the 100 meter freestyle Finals--which Reid was in. Mr. Kiphuth had utter respect for Reid Patterson who had trained at Yale that summer. Reid did not win the 100 in that meet, but at the Olympic Games took fourth place in the world behind three outstanding...

So sorry to hear of Reid's passing. Our love and support to Anna, Tillie and family.

Reid will be remembered by his friends and neighbors in the Village as a Good and Decent man. Our heartfelt condolences to Anna, Virginia, Isabelle, Martha , Tillie and their families on their loss.

Our love and prayers are with all the family. Growing up with Reid in Pineville, Ky, was a wonderful time; watching him practice swimming was a thrill, knowing what he was going to the Olympics. Please extend our sympathies to Mildred.
