Lois Bervel February 1, 1935 - February 22, 2013 Lois Bervel was born on February 1, 1935 in Vain, Oklahoma. Her parents were Opal and Ivey Pruitt. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 22, 2013 at San Joaquin Hospital in Bakersfield, California. She lived in Delano, California for the past 54 years. She married Joe M. Bervel on November 9, 1958 and had two children, Joe Jr. and Beverly, all of Delano. She was a lifelong Homemaker, Mother, and Grandmother. She cared for her family more then anything. Raising her children with love and was a very special ""meme" to her granddaughter Kelli. She was a very quit and gentle women showing her love to all who knew her. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, McFarland for 42 years and remained very active until her health prevented her from attending the last couple of years. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Joe M. Bervel; son Joe Bervel Jr. and wife Alicia; daughter Beverly Ramos and husband Jesse; grandchildren Kelli, Mariana, Esteven, and Nicole; great granddaughter Natalia; brothers Troy Pruitt, TX., Donald Pruitt,TX., George Pruitt, OK., Lloyd Dale Pruitt, OK.; sisters Pearl McDonald, Ar., and Dorothy Davis, Ok. She was preceded in death by her parents Opal and Ivey Pruitt; brothers Carl Pruitt, Ok., and Jimmy Pruitt, Ok.; sisters Bessie Pruitt, Ok., and Lucile Tomason, Ca. Services will be held Friday, March 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Delano Mortuary 707 Browning Rd. with Interment to follow at North Kern Cemetery. Pastor Frank J. Palmer officiating.
