I am so sorry to see Lois had passed. She and my mother Jane Ann Miller were classmates in high school and thick as thieves as my mom would have said. I met Lois at some of the high school reunions and later stayed at her house when I was up in Sacramento for a job interview. I found this obituary for Lois very belatedly. I knew Lois as her hair dresser for about 10 years at 2 different salons. After getting her knee replaced, it became too difficult for her to navigate the steps at the last place. We still kept in touch for a few years afterwards. I admired not only her great head of hair but also her get up + go. During the time I did her hair she worked at the City Cemetery Archives + was so knowledgeable about genealogy. Lois was a very special friend for many years. I admired her tireless work to compile so many indexes to various records for genealogists. She always shared them with me and they are treasured resources. She will be greatly missed!!

I knew Lois from genealogy circles years ago. She was such a nice lady and a great asset to the genealogy community here in Sacramento. My condolences to her family.
