Not sure what to say?

Lois Hirshkowitz was one of the all time hero advocates in my life. I wish I could see in me what saw. Because of her, I'm writing a book about self-esteem. It's going to be called "Pine Needles". She'll stay with me in my brains and in my soul till I meet her again in heaven.

Dear Hirshkowitz family:

Lois taught me everything I know. My last memories of her are when she danced at my wedding. Everybody kept asking me why she was having more fun than anybody else.

Love, Larry Bell and Family.

Dear Sandy & the entire Hirshkowitz family

ms.hirshkowitz saved my life,really.
i was going nowhere and doing all the wrong things when ms.h saw something in me that perhaps no one else did.I am convinced that without her love and understanding
( and great teaching skills) i would have amounted to nothing in life.
Having just found out about this today(9/13/08) i am truly saddened.
Sandy,your mom was/is a shining
light that still resonates in my daily thoughts. My years...

Mrs Hirshkowitz and the way she ran our school had more of an influence on me than I ever could have imagined at the time. The fact that we were free to be who we were & express our thoughts in an open forum is something that has shaped many lives. I am proud of the way I raise my children to be free thinkers. I was in public high school before I transfered to LP and the two years I spent with The Hirshkowitz Way of Thinking did more for my self esteem than anything I had experienced...

Dr. Hirshkowitz and the Hirshkowitz Family,

I am overwhelmed with memories of Mrs. H. She was my favorite teacher and I will forever be grateful to her for helping me discover the poet within.

I am sorry for your loss, but please know that she was loved from afar by many.

(Lakewood Prep 1987-1992)

Ms. Hishkowitz is one of the most powerful people that I've met in my life and my time at Lakewood Prep remains one of the most important periods of my life. Ms. Hirshkowitz understood me like few have and I grew more under her than anyone else. To this day my approach to dealing with others is shaped by my father and Ms. Hirshkowitz. My deepest sympathies to Mr. Hirshkowitz, Sandy, the rest of the Hirshkowitz family and the whole Lakewood Prep/Monmouth Academy community. We all share a...

Dear Dr. Hirshkowitz and Family,
It is with deep sadness that I heard of Lois's passing. Her impact on my life I will always cherish, she was truly that special teacher that I can impacted my life the most.

Lois was and still is an inspiration for me in my life. Her amazing energy burns forever bright in my heart.

Dear Dr Hirshkowitz, Roy, Debbie and Sandy,
I was so deeply saddened when I heard the news. Lois was a wonderful person and a true role model to all of us young women that attended Lakewood Prep. She was a devoted wife and mother, that pursued her dreams and accomplished so much. Please accept my sincerest sympathy.
