So glad I got to introduce Hillis to Lois, my neighbor in Ann Arbor. Best thing I ever done. Miss them both so much.

Reading about Lois and her passing brings back pleasant and sad memories. My late wife , Wanda and Lois were dear friends and colleagues. When Wanda was struggling with her cancer Lois was a tender and warm friend to her until Wanda's death. Lois was appreciated on so many levels. God bless her.

I'm sorry to learn of Lois's passing. She was a kind and professional soul who advocated for students who needed help when I was on staff at Jackson High. I will never forget her quiet, reserved demeanor and the words of wisdom she shared with me on occasion. I sincerely send her family my condolences.

Sorry to read of the death of Lois Johnson, wife of Hillis. Hillis was something of a mentor to me, and Lois was a good friend for many years. I'll always remember the sailboat excursions with the Johnsons and the Reeds. Six of us on a sailboat built for two. Lois could sleep in the smallest places you can imagine.

I had the pleasure of working with Lois while teaching special education at Jackson High. She was a dedicated social worker with a special love for all of the students under her supervision. Her dry sense of humor was infectious and always made me laugh. Rest in peace.

I was saddened to read of Lois´s passing. I worked at JHS with her for many years and she was kind, soft spoken, and a good listener. She helped me cope with the sudden death of my Mother and I am still grateful for her guidance at that time in my life. My condolences to her family. May she rest in peace.
