Lois A. Kersten, a resident of Fraser since 1975 and former long time resident of Roseville, died Friday, November 4, 2005 in her home. She was 71 years of age.

Lois was born in Redfield, South Dakota on February 17, 1934, a daughter of the late Paul and Mabel (Sievert) Hoffman. She was united in marriage to her late husband, Elvin Kersten on November 29, 1975. Lois had worked for over 18years as a secretary for the Phoenix Wire Cloth Company. Lois loved to travel and always kept up with the news of the day. She had a love of music and shared that love with her family. She was an avid reader and a loving and caring person. Lois was a member of the Fraser Historical Society, Fraser election board, past president of the 55+ Club and the Ladies Society of St.John Lutheran Church and secretary of the LWML.

Lois is survived by her loving daughter, Cheryl (John) Busquaert; her sister, Darlene Boub; grandchildren, John M. and Christina M. Busquaert. She is also survived by her former husband, John Karr. Lois was preceded by her husband, Elvin and siblings, Robert, Duane and Jean.

Family and Friends will gather at St.John Lutheran Church, 16339Fourteen Mile Rd., Fraser, Saturday, November 12, 2005 from 10am until time of memorial services at 11am.
