Lois Lindhout

I didn't know Mrs. Lois. but still she is related to me through her marriage to Peter Lindhout. Peter was a grandson of Cornelis Jacobus Lindhout from Poortvliet Holland. It was 41 years ago when Mrs. Lindhout welcomed me to the Ridgemoor neighborhood. I will miss our curbside conversations. We discussed a wide variety of topics including the weather, gardening, flowers, lawns, trees, Breton Village, politics (I'm a Democrat!), even talented Grand Rapids' artists--Armand Merizon and Mathias Alten. We also shared an affection for Colonial Williamsburg. In fact, the design of her charming home was inspired by residences in that historic Virginia town.
