Not sure what to say?

Blessings on Lois and the wonderful Lyon family. I was privileged to know and work with some of the wonderful members of the "Lyons' Den," as a teacher at Prospect High School, at John Hersey High School, and as a Rotarian. Joe and Lois raised a unique and caring family. My deepest sympathy at our community's loss of a very special person.

This picture was taken at my wedding in 1993, and it shows Aunt Lois on the far right, joining in the Chicken Dance.

My mom is Joe's big sister, so I've known and loved Aunt Lois all my life. Always warm and welcoming and interested in what was going on in your life, she quickly put everyone at ease.

Our families frequently spent time together in the summer at Grandma and Grandpa's place at the lake (in southern Wisconsin), and we always had Thanksgiving together, either in Arlington Heights or in Sheboygan Falls. And then, of course, we got together every year just after Christmas to celebrate...

Mrs. Lyon was the person who first introduced me to Beloit College when I was a student at BGHS. While we did not meet by bumping into each other at the M-I Arch, I met my wife while an undergraduate there. Our son subsequently attended Beloit as well. It could be said that she planted the seed that became a lifelong legacy for our family with Beloit. Her kindness and interest will be long remembered by me.

Our heartfelt sympathy to Joe and the family. Lois leaves a legacy of service to her community and church. Joe and Lois were a great "team" providing help and service to many. She was a very kind and thoughtful person who did much for many, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family in this time of grief.

Lois and Joe have been our dear friends for 67 years and my wife Jo and I are thankful that we were able to stay in touch through all of them.
We were in the same graduation class with Lois in 1952 at Beloit College and were married within 7 days of each other. In college, Joe and I were fraternity brothers and roommates. When Joe and I were in the Navy, we connected in both California and Japan. I still remember being invited to dinner at their home in Coronado while I struggled ...

Our condolences to Joe and family. Shocked and sorrowed by her passing. We will be in Denver and are unable to attend her Memorial but we will remember her and her contributions to those around her.

Lois was my dad's first cousin. She was a wonderful, loving woman who always made you feel comfortable. I remember many family reunions with her and her family. Great memories of her! My condolences to the family.

A wonderful gentle soul who was like a second Mom to me. A fabulous role model for so many!
