Not sure what to say?

Lois was our neighbor almost my entire life. It was also my pleasure to have her as my Home Ec. teacher at West Geauga. She taught me how to cook and sew. It's no fault of hers that I'm lousy at both these days. She will be missed!

When we moved next door to Ron & Lois in 2004, we had no idea of the special friendships and memories that were in store for us. It started out with a quick "hello" across the yard and very quickly progressed to sharing afternoon visits, garden advice (okay, that was mostly one way!) recipes, flowers and veggies from our gardens and even meals together. Lois was a sweet, happy and fun presence in our lives. Although our yard will feel very different this year, we will see her touch...

Dear MacDonald Family, after having attended the memorial service for Lois on Saturday, I left it with chills and tears. The pastor and ladies who shared their memories were so inspiring. The selected songs and scripture were all so fitting. I am also honored to have met Lois' sisters. They are just as pleasant as their sibling was. Lois did a wonderful job keeping her family together, don't let that go! Love, Cousin Diane Kolman

Ken, Jane & Family
We sure did enjoy knowing your mom, we loved having her and your dad at our family reunions and enjoyed her so much. What a beautiful smile!
Lots of love

Ron and family, We are saddened by your loss. Lois was a special friend to us. I was co-advisor of the famous UNSTITCHABLES until we moved to NC.

Dear Jane, Ron and family.........Joe and I will be present for Lois' memorial service. We knew her as such a smiling, caring, gentle woman who was very appreciative and generous! We are sorry that we never did sit around the bridge table all together. That would surely have been a memory! We never knew that Lois played the violin. What an uplifting life she lead!~ Our deepest sympathy is extended to all of you, cousins Diane and Joe

Ron and family; Our prayers and sympathy are with you.We met Lois in the Dahlia society when we were new members and felt she was so generous in sharing her expertise about growing and staging Dahlias.Lois also had a knack of getting things done by dropping subtle hints like "staging Dahlias would be easier if we had some smaller wedges". Mrs. MacDonald was THE 4-H leader in Geauga county, and I was one of the lucky girls in her club, as well as a student in her Home Economic class at West Geauga Junior High School. She taught us so much more than sewing skills, and I think about her so often, especially when I work with kids. I hear her soft, but emphatic voice in my head, "Now girls........." and then she would proceed to tell us the best way to do something.

My thoughts are with Dr. MacDonald and my fellow...

Lois was my wife's home economics teacher many years ago at West Geauga. We got to know Lois in recent years in the context of Ohio State Football. When talking to Lois it was always fun to hear the excitement in her voice when discussing her many trips to Columbus for the big games and especially the Rose Bowl. We will miss her smile and will be thinking of her during future games.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ron and his family.
