McFARLANE, Lois E. - Of Swartz Creek, age 85, died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service was held Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Todd Regester officiated. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hill Road Baptist Church. Lois was born in Mesick, MI on November 4, 1924. On August 9, 1947, she married Harold McFarlane in Flint. She was a member of Hill Road Baptist Church and was very active with the church and sang in the choir. Harold and Lois enjoyed spending their winters in Florida, after retirement. Becoming an LPN was a dream Lois had for many years, Later in life she went back to school and fulfilled that dream. She retired from Hurley Medical Center as an LPN in 1981. Surviving are daughters, Cindy and husband Allen Nolff of Swartz Creek, Melody and husband David Wiese of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Meighan and husband Fred Sharp of Ankeny, Iowa, Michael Wiese of Bloomington, IN, Katie Wiese of Swartz Creek; soon to be great-grandchild; brother-in-law, Leonard Bodrie of FL; many nieces and nephews and a host of special friends. My condolences to you and your family. My Mom was not able to attend your Mom's service since she has been in a nursing home since May. I have many great memories of time spent at your house-- when we were young --under your Mom's supervision. Our Moms had many great times in their "gabby eight." Again my deepest sympathy.

Dear McFarlane's Family...I am so sad to hear about her death. I love her of my aunt who was so sense of humor her personality. I do love her too. I love you, Melody and Cindy that I haven't forgetten both of you. I am praying for our family. Love your cousin, Barbara McFarlane
