Not sure what to say?

Great Lady, great Neighbor....could never put anything by her. Her kids were my neighbors/friend. What memories!!

For 8 years I have given a pound of Tres Americas' coffee to the Cabrillo Farmers Market vendors with whom Lois did business. The only requirement I requested upon receiving the coffee was to say "Lois" She wasn't my grandma, but she AND Bert were my friends PRESENTE!!

I still give a bag of 'Gold' coffee to those with whom Lois traded for groceries. We all say 'Lois & Bert' at the exchange: Presente!

I was dubbed, by Bert, as his sherpa for the Aptos Farmer's Market. After Bert's death, I shopped with Lois, as her sherpa. When either was not at the Market, I'd go to Dominican to visit. I remember after Lois' fall, she was unconscious when I arrived. To the surprise of her family, when I walked in, Lois opened her eyes and said 'Hi Lee'. To this day, the first Saturday of each month, I buy a bag of Gold coffee beans and give it to those with whom Lois gave coffee during her shopping. ...

Wow, what a heroine. Lois helped me become a conflict resolution trainer in the early 80"s and continued to be the backbone of the peace movement in Santa Cruz for decades. I have always been awed by she and Bert. I am sad to say goodbye.

A few weeks ago I found a note from my dear friend, Lois Muhly. She wrote about listening to lovely cueca, the sweetest music ever so I searched for cueca on Pandora and sure enough, sweet tunes from Central America, Chile and Argentina led me through the most productive day. I placed her note on the mantle and lit a candle. Then I wrote and mailed her a note, not realizing she would not receive it except as an angel. Just last month, I visited her in Santa Cruz and she was happy and funny...

Lois was my constant inspiration. A guiding light. Alas, I will be out of town for a family reunion and wedding on the day of this important memorial event. Sorry to miss it. Hugs to all of the family. Catherine

My condolence in the loss of Lois Muhly to all the family members. I remember the family well living on the same street (Walnut) and going to the same SCHS. Wonderful memories.
