What a great lady! She was loved by all in Limoncocha and served her Lord by serving many people in the clinic. We had to request help in the middle of the night when Roy was ill with an infection from a palm thorn. Lois was cheerful and a great help to all.
She taught piano to some of the boys and girls, ours included. We have a snapshot of one the young tribal men who also learned to play the piano. Her small pump organ which she loaned to the group was a blessing in our worship...

You had a lovely service for Lois on Friday. We are grateful that we could learn more about her life and service by being there with you. It was very touching to read about her relationship to the Auca Indians in the obituary. The friend who sat next to us in the service said, "Imagine! Now Lois is finally meeting Jim Elliot and Nate Saint!" What a wonderful realization! May God grant you peach and comfort as you remember your dear sister.

I had the privilege of rocking babies in the UPC nursery with Lois at the 11:30 service for a number of years. Lois was a quiet, unassuming woman, but the river ran deep in her soul. I can remember well one conversation with her where she began to tell her story, her struggle with leukemia, her missionary service, and her now retirement from the far reaches of the world. She was an amazing woman, and I can assure you her crown will be hard to carry from its weight. She is now dancing in...

Gerda & I shared a year (1951/52) at LBS with Lois and traveled in the LBS Choir to the west coast. Blessed be the memory of Lois.
