Said farewell to a dear friend on Friday. As I sat at her service, many memories came rushing back. Meeting her at Zion Lutheran Church. Serving at Meals On Wheels with her. Watching movies on the Hallmark Channel and how she would call me to remind me our favorite movie was on. Long conversations on the phone. Driving her to church and to dinner with our friends, how Applebees was her favorite. And all the while I knew I would miss these wonderful times and this wonderful lady. I...

Lois was a wonderful, supportive, kind and loving friend. She was a warm, welcoming member of our monthly pinochle games for a few years before the group disbanded. I especially remember what a gracious salesperson she was when I bought my children's white shirts and blouses for each new school year. She always greeted us with a smile and helped us find just the right size and quantity to carry my son and daughter through their 180 day stint. Sadly we were there for the funeral of her...
